"Our vineyards, with their stunning views over the gentle hills of the “Castelli di Jesi”, tell the story of our family’s history over the generations: a story of sacrifice, of good harvests and of others not so good; of hard work under the sun and under the rain, because wine begins, first of all, in the vineyards: tending vine by vine, shoot by shoot and grape by grape.

This is the philosophy that, first my grandparents, and then my parents have passed down to me. In short, producing wine is a life choice. It is not a job.

Creating a wine, shaping it with all your knowledge and passion, giving it a part of yourself and giving life to hopes and expectations. All this is hidden in its own special world and it all starts from a long way away: having the wisdom to choose the right soil, the correct variety of vine, watching it grow, honouring it and caring for it in order to finally pick its fruit, being passionate about this world in which roots merge with earth and earth with roots in order to create something special, something of your own."
(Maurizio Ceci)

The vineyards are located in the municipalities of San Paolo di Jesi, Staffolo and Cupramontana on varying terrains and at altitudes between 220 and 500 metres above sea level. They are specifically for the production of D.O.P. (Denomination of Protected Origin) wines such as”Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi”, “Rosso Piceno”, “Esino Rosso” and other wines which have I.G.P. (Protected Geographical Indication) status. Today, the surface area of the vines is over eighteen hectares on seven separate plots, each with their own unique characteristics which respect and enhance the terroir and its grape varieties. The white grapes are raised using the “Guyot” method, whilst the “Cordone Speronato” method is used for the red grapes. The indigenous white grape variety, the “Verdicchio”, predominates and is grown on approximately thirteen hectares of land. The red grapes characteristic of the land are the “Sangiovese” and “Montepulciano” varieties and are grown on an area over three hectares. In order to create innovative wines which can compare with the most excellent worldwide production, we recently planted international varieties with a very high density of plants per hectare (about 6,500). The white wines are the “Bruni 54 Cross (Verdicchio and Sauvignon Blanc) whilst the red are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Lacrima di Morro D’Alba. Inside the company’s property there is also an olive grove with an area of about one hectare of which many of the trees are over one hundred years old. Here we grow Mignola, Carboncello and Raggia Orbetana olive varieties from which we produce an excellent extra virgin olive oil.
