46° Parallelo, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
WHITE as the universal color of purity. The oil is produced in a dell of the lake exposed to winds, rich in historical olive groves. The olives are harvested early by hand, crushed, preserved and bottled according to the organic protocol. The oleic acid present in extra virgin olive oil is essential and precious for health. Also linoleic and linolenic acids are present in proportions similar to breast milk. This combination results in easy digestibility and protection. Characteristics
46 parallel line organic, extra virgin olive oil from extreme north is cultivated in the basin along the Trentino shores of Lake Garda, exposed to Garda winds, historically important for its many olive groves. The process of returning olive production to organic methods was completed in 2010. The Riva del Garda Olive Press itself obtained organic production certification in 2008, and the first batch of organic oil was from the 2010 harvest. The olives used in this oil are early-harvested, and are strictly handpicked. Pressing, storage and bottling are done separately according to organic production protocol.
Health properties
Among all the many benefits linked to extra virgin olive oil is to be stressed, in particular, the prevailing presence of oleic acid, an essential fatty acid valuable for health and prized for maintaining good health. There are also linoleic and linolenic acids present, roughly in the same proportion as found in mother's milk. This almost perfect combination contributes to make it highly digestible and protective.
