THE WINERY
Ours is a family estate, with a great wine-growing tradition that has been perfected over four generations in the Upper Garda with the conversion of all the vineyards to organic over recent years. Our work is based on a journey of continuous research and knowledge of the region aimed at pursuing the highest quality and specific characteristics of our area.
In addition to the wine production, we also produce Extra Virgin Olive Oil on the farm and more recently, the breeding of bees was introduced with consequent production of Honey.
Our wines reflect the diversity of Garda Trentino. The Busat wine-blends are born from a set of various components, enhanced by the differences and peculiarities of the area from which they originate. With the selection of vineyards and the Cru we want to bring out the best features of the area and enrich every aspect of our vision of viticulture.
THE LAND
Garda Trentino is one of the most characteristic and recognizable landscapes in Trentino, where Lake Garda meets the Dolomites. Soil morphology, varying elevations and climatic conditions together allow each grape variety to express its own peculiarities. This is where our vines grow: the localities of Riva del Garda, Arco and Tenno.
The white grapes are grown mainly on the hills of Tenno from elevations of 300 to 500m, the soils are calcareous and the altitude gives sapid flavoured wines with a marked freshness and finesse.
The red grapes, on the other hand, benefit from the micro-climate of the valley-bottom, milder than the hills allowing good maturation for red grapes, the altitude varies from 100 to 150m, on alluvial soils or alluvial fans from the mountains which are more structured and rich in clay.
Morer, Rebo, Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT
REBO From a single vineyard in Arco with a very low yield per vine. Fermentation with maceration in steel, aging for 12 months in used barriques and clay. An indigenous variety of this area and which we are much fond of. We are constantly seeking to weaken the tendency to rusticity of this variety by converting it into energy and personality.
Busat Bianco, Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT
Composed mainly of Chardonnay and Sauvignon grapes, harvested at full maturity from the vineyards located in the "Busa". Soft pressing and vinification in steel vats preserve its fragrance, resulting in a fresh and fragrant wine.
Busat Rosè, Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT
From Merlot and Schiava, is the typical wine following local tradition, the Schiava variety once widely cultivated in our area, vinified together with Merlot to give a fresh and everyday wine.
Chardonnay, Trentino DOC
Represents a constant search for a wine that is the maximum expression of the grape variety in our land. Our best Chardonnay vineyards come from the Piscol and Tenno hills, with soft pressing, fermentation in used oak barrels and tonneaux, then aging on the lees for 9 months.
Busat Rosso, Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT
Merlot, Rebo and Cabernet Sauvignon come together in this vigorous and harmonious Cuveè. Fermentation with maceration in steel, aging for 12 months in used barriques and clay to obtain a fruity and juicy red.
Sauvignon, Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT
Born in the middle of the Tenno hills which are much suited for this variety. Soft pressing, fermentation in steel and used oak barrels, the result is a wine with a strong personality, the result of the contrast between the limestone soil and the excellent exposure of the vineyards.
