Only since the 1950's has it been planted in rows like other varietals. In addition to Marzemino, La Cadalora's Sanvalentino vineyard is also planted in an important local variety, Lagrein. This grape gives more body and character to the wine.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, and continues in small French-oak barrels.
