The Moscato Rosa is a particularly vigorous variety, its distinctive feature being that it transforms into a production of about two thousand kilos of grapes per hectare.

The vigour of the plant during flowering causes flower abortion, millerandage and stretching of the bunch with a drastic reduction in grape production. This result is further reduced based on the partial drying of the grapes, aimed at obtaining a greater sugar concentration.

Grape harvesting periodThe first detachment takes place in mid-September to allow for partial drying in the fruit store, while the remainder is left on the vines until the start of November. |
VinificationThe grapes, obtained in two different stages, are crushed and poured into steel barrels to undergo alcoholic fermentation in contact with the skin. After about ten days, they are removed from the vats in order to ensure a considerable presence of natural sugar residue. It does not undergo malolactic fermentation in order to maintain it acidity intact, linked to the complexity of the splendid characteristic aromas of the Moscato Rosa. |

Organoleptic propertiesCOLOUR: intense ruby red. AROMA: spicy dog rose. FLAVOUR: hints of dog rose, cinnamon and cloves, wrapped up in a delicate sensation of sweetness. |

Easily two or three years from the bottling phase, evolving into a wine with less fragrant, rounder and more even organoleptic characteristics; but it is precisely because of its pleasantly delicate, aromatic and charming characteristics that it is advisable to appreciate it in its youth. |
